Holiday!

Jay! Holiday just started here in Holland, I was really looking forward to it! One week just chilling, no signs of homework. And the best of all: I'm actually going on vacation, but I'll keep the location a secret (:
Sunday morning my mother, sister and I are going on vacation. I hope we have access to the internet in our hotel, so I can post some pictures. If not, you won't see or hear of me untill next saturday...
Just to get into the 'Holiday-mood', I will post some pictures of last year's vacation to London and Scotland, which was in one word AMAZING! I had never been to the two places before, so it was really exciting!

First my mother, sister, her best friend and I went to London.
I don't really have pictures of me, because I'm just not photogenic. I'll try to make that different this time. The only pictures of London with me on it are these:
I actually like this one. Probably because I'm unrecognizable ;)

I've a really funny face in this picture... from left to right: me, my sister, my sister's friend. It was in a really cute café!

So as you can see not really photogenic.
And now pictures from Scotland. Unfortunately I'm on only one picture ;)

Haha, it was really rainy, but absolutely beautiful!

I went with my mom and dad to Scotland. One week hiking, it was really nice! This picture looks a little bit depressive 'cause the weather was bad. But definitely not the whole week!

These are my favorite pictures and I just can't choose which one is the best. What do you think?

We also went to some sort of Scottish festival, with dancing girls and people playing on bagpipes. This vacation left some really nice memories.
I also bought a really nice necklace in Scotland. One with a Celtic symbol. I love it because of the detail and the beautiful little blue stone in the middle.
I think the detail is just amazing. And it is handmade too! Just incredible.

I hope you enjoyed all my pictures ;)

Zipper Nail Art

I came up with a new nail art design: little zippers! It is my first try, so it's quite messy. There is a lot of room for improvement, that's for sure!

Now how I did it:
First apply a base coat to protect your nails. Then apply a base color on your nails. I used the Catrice #400 Blue Cara Ciao, which is a very nice deep blue color.

Then use a different color and make some sort of letter V on your nails. I used the Catrice #540 Am I Blue Or Green?. It's a very light blue color (yes, I think it's blue). Fill in the nail on the outside of the V with the same color. Try to make different V's on every nail, very big to very small. The nail on my little finger is very small, because it broke three days ago. I just didn't make a V on that nail, because that would be very hard for the next steps... it would become very messy. I just made that nail the light blue color.

Now use another different color to accentuate the line of the V. I used the Essence Tip Painter White, which makes very small lines. If you don't have a tip painter, just use a small nal art brush or a pointed object, like a hair clip. Connect the bottom of the V to the beginning of your nail with a little stripe. It's very hard to explain it, so I hope the pictures will make it easier to understand ;). On the nail of my little finger I made just one stripe from the bottom to the top.

And the last step: Make the connecting stripe more detailed by making very small crosses. I only did that to the connecting stripe, because I thought it would become very messy if I also did them on the V's. Now make a little zipper-thing (I have really no idea what it's called xd) on the bottom of the V's. I used the tip painter again. See the picture on the top for more information ;).

Now you're done! Like it? I think it could be better without the little crosses...Please comment and tell me what you think! (And if you know what the zipper-thing is called, please tell me! I really want to know!)
