DIY | decorating notebooks #1

Hey!
It has been quite some time since my last post, but I'm back with an easy and fun DIY. To get through the tough, boring days of school, there's nothing wrong with making it a little bit more fun. I collected some notebooks I wanted to decorate and here is what I came up with. These are all very easy to recreate, I just wanted to give some ideas to get the creativity started! To avoid a very long post, I divided it in different parts.

The pocket chalkboard
This one is probably my favorite, and super easy to accomplish. The thing you will need:
 ~ a notebook (preferably with a hard cover);
 ~ chalkboard paint + paintbrush;
 ~ chalk;
 ~ decorating supplies (optional).

Chalkboard paint is basically paint with a very matt finish. You could probably use matt paint, but the endresult will not be as great as when you'll use official chalkboard paint. The only thing you really have to do is paint the cover of your notebook with the calkboard paint. I suggest you paint the inside of the cover, because the chalk could smudge when other books or notebooks slide against it. Another thing you could do is fold a small envelope where you can store some chalk.

Finally, I decorated the edges with some fabric tape for a clean and neat finish.

Now you can draw silly faces or beautiful *uhuhum* portraits of your absolute favorite teachers! Have fun, be creative and I'll talk to you next time.
Byee!

I declare summerbreak unofficially opened!

Test week is finally over, which means we're completely done for this year. The past few month past by so slowly and I don't think I'm the only one who doesn't have any more energy left. Today I had my last test and we also handed in our books. The feeling of summerbreak is coming closer, but I still can't really believe we are done for this year. It's probably partly because of the weather we were having the past couple of weeks. A minimum amount of sunshine and quite some rain. Not really the perfect weather for summer.

My Bucket List

I started making a bucket list, just for fun. I got the idea when I started seeing pictures on WeHaertIt and they inspired me a lot. I have been thinking about my life more lately, about what I want to do when I finish school and this bucket list I put together made it all a little bit more clear. There are also some things I want to do before I finish school and it's nice to have some things in my mind to be excited for and keep some motivation to live everyday to the fullest. Some things might sound a little bit obvious or weird, but these are the things which would be pretty cool if I could do them. Here is my bucket list, I hope you enjoy it and maybe get some inspiration for your own bucket list if you haven't got one already (:

Since I was a child I dreamed of getting on an adventure someday. And still, about ten years later, I feel something for exploring the world. I'm not satisfied with watching some sort of discovery channel on the television anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still like watching programs about nature, wildlife and countries I've never heard of before, but I just really want to see some of those beautiful places with my own eyes. But it's pretty easy to say I want to go on a lifetime adventure, sitting here behind my computer ;)

Inspiration of the moment: Handgloves/Mittens

Let's be honest with eachother for a second: who survives those cold winter-like days without warm and cozy mittens? I don't, for sure. Since the temperature dropped a few degrees here in the Netherlands, I really like to have my hands covered up in super warm mittens with fun designs so my hands will not fall off because of the really cold weather. Seriously, a few days ago the first snow fell, which is kind of extraordinairy for this time of the year, even for the Netherlands. In the night the temperature is just below zero and in daytime the temperature doesn't really get above five degrees Celsius.

So: mittens! They're available in lots of different colors and designs to match with your outfir everyday. I really like to get inspiration from the internet. I also just like to look at the pictures, they just give me a nice winterfeeling.

September Inspiration: SweaterWeather

This post is going to be some sort of September inspiration. Let's just call it like that.
It's already fall for a while, but now the days are actually getting colder. The days are shorter and what's better than sit at home at a fireplace with a cup of tea and at the same time snuggeling in one of your comfiest sweaters? Nothing, right?

And you heard me: it's sweaterweather here in the Netherlands. For a few weeks I've been looking for the best sweaters, but unfortunately I haven't found one yet. I really have to hurry, because I'm not going to survive this winter with the shirts I have. ;)

Here is some inspiration I've been looking for:

I just love this pattern! Source
